Rose M. Corvin

Rose M. Corvin, 94, of South Connellsville, died suddenly Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, in the Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. She was born Sept. 17, 1904, in South Connellsville, a daughter of the late William and Myrtle Younkin Soisson.

She was a lifelong resident of South Connellsville and was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church in South Connellsville. She was also a member of the Lee Etta Lodge.

She is survived by four sons, James K. Corvin Jr. and his wife, Sue, and Tom Corvin and his wife, Lynne, all of South Connellsville, William S. Corvin and his wife, Vivian, of Brooklyn, Ohio, and M. Paul Corvin and his wife, Lois, of Houtzdale; four daughters, Dolores Malik and her husband, Melvin, of Scottdale, Wanda Donner and her husband, Kenneth, of Sarasota, Fla., Priscilla Smiley and her husband, Charles, of South Connellsville and Rose A. Corvin of New Orleans, La.; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Beatty of Winchester, Ind. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Kelley Corvin Sr.; a son, Donald E. Corvin; two sisters, Helen Cross and Loretta McClintock; and five brothers, Fred, James, Paul, Russell and George Soisson.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Byron Tate Fulton and the Rev. Dr. Marvin C. Watson co-officiating. A committal service and entombment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
