Hi all,
Larry and I have been away for the past few weeks on our first vacation in
three years. I see there are some messages in the queue, so hopefully will
get them answered in the next week or so.
We have a new member to our Elder News Sharing list...... Lee M. Elder.
Many of you will recognize Lee from all his work with the newsletter
queries since the beginning of the newsletter and many of you have also
heard from Lee from your queries here on the list.
Lee's work concentrates on the Peter Elder line in Virginia (1600s+).
I know I have announced this before but I hope you'll all take a few
minutes to check out the page at our Elder Web site regarding Lee's book
"Genealogy of the Elder Clan"... at:

Jim,
Does your new book enclude the Elder/Lamunion's in MO, or the Elders from
Stonefort, IL?
Thanks,

Hi Karyn,
Welcome to the Elder News Sharing List......
I am somewhat familiar with your line, and find it interesting that we
recently published a wonderful picture in the "Elder Family Newsletter" of
Basil and Elizabeth (Snowden) Elder's sons. I'll make sure you receive a
copy of this issue. Perhaps I ought to also post it to the Web Pages....

Wayne: I have a George Mayes in Kentucky directory who married Mary
Elder. Her father was William Elder and he came from South Carolina with
four brothers in 1797. That is the only Mayes that I have in my files
from KY. I have about 3600 names in this directory and no Carrick in this
file. Merry Christmas and let me hear from you.
