AncestryDNA subscribers have said on the DNA Forums,
that this AncestryDNA+ comparison report uses Ancestry FamilyTREE entries
from subscribers, to point out cousins.

Considering the many mixups in ELDER entries on those ANCESTRY TREES,
I'm very curious to see what happens when they try to point me to a TREE.
I've already been typing alot of opposing "comments" with references
on the entries for "PAXTANG PA" mixups with "FRANKLIN CO PA" TREES,
but there are more all the time, simply copied over.
For example: Rev. John ELDER of PAXTANG PA, is entered as father of
our Rev. War Soldier, Robert ELDER (1730-1807) of FRANKLIN CO PA.
However, Rev. John ELDER is really the documented father of another Rev. War Soldier,
Robert ELDER (1742-1818), who had no children:
My comments posted
at

I just hope I can help our ELDER research with this test, not make it worse!
Will let you know what happens!

Here's my first recognized matching ELDER in the new AncestryDNA test!!
I sent Fran a confirmation message in Ancestry e-mail:
>Hi Fran (bluesilver73)
> Hooray! Viewing your excerpt from "PRIVATE" Ancestry Tree,
I recognized some Y-DNA matches to my brother,
Henry Irwin ELDER from your William Beverly ELDER, as posted:

William Beverly Elder
B:31 Jul 1889 in Missouri
D:27 Nov 1948 in Los Angeles

>Another Ancestry Tree traces your William Beverly ELDER further
back through TN, and even credits a TN ancestor as coming from Franklin Co PA, which I haven't really been able to prove for myself, although it certainly makes sense.

>Also, the book "Families named ELDER in East Tennessee" doesn't trace that ELDER family back to PA for certain, but our Sevier Co TN relatives prove the Y-DNA match.

>From Ancestry Tree by "jjhamiltonjr," Topeka, Kansas
at
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/9667118/person/6055040361

>Traces William Beverly ELDER b. 1889 MO
to
William Elder
Birth 1783 in Franklin, Pennsylvania, United States
Death 18 Jul 1823 in Dandridge, Jefferson, Tennessee, United States

I confirmed another new COUSIN in my new AncestryDNA.com test,
matching with the book "FAMILIES NAMED ELDER IN EAST TN".

NancyP replied to this ANCESTRY TREE owner:
"Reviewing the matching FULL ANCESTRY.COM TREE"
at
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/15560190/person/1405353784
for LILLIARD surname: (ALSO SPELLED LILLARD):
Lee Albert "Burt" LILLIARD
Birth About 1850 in Meigs County Tennessee
Death About 1883 in Hanson, Sequoyah, Oklahoma
father:
James S Vernon LILLIARD
Birth 1829
Death 1908

In my book "Families Named ELDER in East Tennesse" by Virginia Knight Nelson, pub. 1986.
Index pages for LILLARD: ix, 11, 14, 16, 30, 31, 32, 33, 100, 101

Page 11: Nancy Elder (1809-1888) m. William LILLARD (1793-1875)

Page 32:
"Benjamin Francis LILLARD (b. abt 1838 d. 1919)
was a farmer and dry-goods merchant in Meigs County...."

Nancy's brother, Henry Irwin ELDER, Y-DNA kit #10042 matches ELDER
descendants from that book with Y-DNA kits.

I recognized the first "MIXED UP" TREE list with ELDER of "FRANKLIN CO PA" and "PAXTANG PA" from my AncestryDNA.com test results.

Wrote to my new cousin: "ANDREAK22"
RE: Our matches: DAVID ELDER and JANE BOGGS
of Franklin Co PA and Huntingdon Co PA
[She cites Kate McCARTER's webpages for Idaho ELDER descendants]
Kate has deleted the "PAXTANG" entries.]
See Kates Tree:
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/27093880/person/1989430177

>In our ELDER DNA project we have discovered that the ELDER family of "PAXTANG PA" has very different DNA (I=ISLES, VIKING), than our "FRANKLIN CO PA" DNA (R1b).--- So they are not directly related by paternal ancestory.

>My 3rd g-grandfather, Joseph ELDER (1770-1858) was born in FRANKLIN CO PA.
> His father is Robert ELDER (1730-1807) who resided in FRANKLIN CO PA before the Rev. War.--- My DAR Membership #833222, separates him from the "PAXTANG PA" liine.
[I also posted a correction on "COMMENTS" section of ANDREAK22 TREE
to tell her about the different PAXTANG DNA, and that Joseph was born
in Franklin Co PA, the part which was formed from Cumberland Co Sept. 9, 1784]

TREE INFO: "WEAVER Family by ANDREAK22"
Profile: Female 50-59 - Graduate Degree, Employed
SEARCH TREE, find ELDER names (100)
at
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/17316293/listofallpeople?ss=false&ln=elder

She has also posted my photos of DAVID ELDER BIBLE pages on her TREE,
but has not posted a father for David.
[David's father should be my Rev. War Soldier,
Robert Elder (1730-1807) of Franklin Co PA]
at
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/17316293/person/20137466020

David's Bible pages first scanned and posted on my Freepages:
at
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nancyelder/pa/BibleDavidElder1752.htm

Bible was found in Salem, Oregon, photos taken, and then Bible
sent to Franklin County Historical Society, Chambersburg, PA.
