From the Inn's information page: "In 1832, Horace Church purchased a 200-acre parcel of land and built a typical New England-frame farmhouse. The house was later enlarged to include a Dutch Colonial wing to accommodate the family of the second owners. It is the house, which appears as "Crippen Farm" on the Great Barrington map dated to 1876. The land was eventually whittled down to 4 acres of which the now Seekonk Pines Inn stands." Robert L.
