Plymouth Rock engraved with 1620. Years ago this rock was along the street and people kept chipping away pieces for a souvenir. To preserve the rest of the rock, it is now set in cement about 5 feet below street level with a pavilion built over it.
From this rock you can easily see the Mayflower II. Right across the street and up a hill is the location of the sarcophagus of the Pilgrims that died that first winter. So one might say those Pilgrims overlook the rock and ship.Pat Crippen Smith, 8550 S SR 17, Kewanna, IN 46939
